Add new user to homey functions

Hi,

My father has solar panels from Zonneplan and a Mitsubishi air conditioner.

Now my question was:
Can I add a user to homey and that user can only see and operate the Zonneplan solar panels and the Mitsubishi air conditioning? So that the new user cannot see and operate my devices?

The plan was to create a new room in Homey and put the solar panels and air conditioning there.
And that the new user only can see and operate that specific room and devices.

Couldn’t really find out if this is even possible. Thank you in advance!

This is possible when you create a dashboard for that particular user. You can enable ‘kiosk mode’, which is secured with the device pin / fingerprint / face recogn. This makes it impossible to do anything else with the Homey app.

Okay that sounds good.
But the app is installed on my father’s phone.
Or can you enter your own PIN code per dashboard in kiosk mode?

Because I just tried it on my mobile and with the set fingerprint I can turn off the kiosk mode, which is not very useful on someone else’s phone. Then my father can enter his fingerprint and exit kiosk mode and have access to all devices.

Aaah I see. Not possible, yet. That’s the point Athom hasn’t realised (yet).
It really should be made possible to lock it with a custom pin / pass f.e., so you can lock the app & dash on other person’s phone/tablets.

Aaah then i hope they add it soon.

Do you know if you can add different fingerprints to specific apps on android? So for instance the Philips Hue app only opens if person 1 fingerprints is right and the homey app opens only with person 2 his fingerprint?

3rd party apps can do that with custom pin/pattern/bio metric locking.
But, locking the app won’t do, while the dashboard is integrated in the app. Meaning, the user can go anywhere within the app, and can view/alter/operate more stuff than should.

oh that’s true too.
I think I will create a new user and adjust the home screen of my father’s app. That he may only be on that and not in the devices/flows.
