I would like to know if it is possible to integrate Nightscout with Homey Pro.
Adding a product link might be a good idea
And you can search the homey.app store with the function
I have already searched in the apps, but there is nothing related to Nightscout, which is a website or program I use to record, view, and share my blood glucose values. I would like to integrate it into Homey to be able to create some automations.
You can post your request in this thread:
If the webpage you are using also supports a kind of webAPI (REST, JSON etc.) you could tra to read the data wirh a flow action doing a http request.
After some searching, Nightscout appears to be open-source
Basically one can install and run it on a local or internet server, or hire a running instance
where any web-connected device can view the numbers
For a start accessing the data per IFTTT is possible, which is available to Homey:
I try with IFTTT
Any luck? I’m not using Nightscout, only xdrip. Have been trying to send a webhook from xdrip to Homey using Tasker, but no success yet.
Yes, I was successful, with the help of chatgpt I managed to write a script and now every 5 minutes I can get some lights with the colors of the xdrip graph to know how my blood sugar is when I’m at home.
But im using nightscout and the script is for using with nightscout.
Nice, well done. I’ve been trying to pick up the intents from xdrip using Tasker, but no luck yet. Might have to setup a Nightscout instance perhaps. My son is having T1D, so it would be nice to have some blinking lights when there are alarms during the night
I think it’s the best way to share values with family members.
