[APP][Pro] Velux via KLF 200

I have just made a proof of concept for a Velux App that runs completely locally via the KLF-200. Currently it just supports Window Openings.

The source code can be found here GitHub - petero-dk/org.velux.klf200: App for Homey to control Velux Skylights, using a KLF-200

The app can be installed from Danfoss Air App for Homey | Homey

It will detect (probably) rain and update the sensor value, but it will for now not update the sensor value if the window is not moving.

Because of the weird way the KLF closes connections, there are two extra flow cards that will allow you to restart the KLF. (i.e by added a Zigbee Switch to the power supply)

This app was made very very easy to make using the GitHub - MiSchroe/klf-200-api: This module provides a wrapper to the REST API of a KLF-200 interface. Supporting the new API with firmware version 0.2.0.0.71 is in progress. - not enough credit can go to him.

I do not have anything else than Window Openings, so if anyone are able to test with Blinds then it should be possible to add more features to them in the future.

Could you possibly make a short A line on how to add a device?

I have the following devices and would like to test them:

  • Dormer window
  • Roller blinds (3 Piece)

Install the app. Go to app settings and enter the IP and password of the KLF gateway.

For now make sure it has a fixed IP.

Once that is done simply add device. It should discover anything you have connected to the KLF 200.

If you have not paired your KLF with the system yet there is a guide to do that in the KLF 200 manual.

Nice App. Thank you.
Velux has discontinued this product and replaced it with KLF 150 which does not have ethernet or wifi connection. Only USB.

Velux has never really made smart business decisions. That is not a smart piece of controller, and they had exactly something like this earlier.
