Hello everyone,
I am quite new with homey/smarthomes.
I tried to set up my smart home with:
-homey pro
-fibaro z wave switch
-aeotec z wave dimmer
-aeotec z wave nano shutters
-philips hue bridge and lamps
battery powered:
-fibaro z wave motion sensors
-fibaro z wave smoke sensors
-zigbee aqara curtain driver
-zigbee aqara port sensor
Sometimes I notice that some flows do not run or that I cannot reach a certain device.
I started playing around with the place where I install the homey pro and I notice that it effects the outcome. However there is no optimal place where all of my devices (always) run (I notice that with lower temperatures the connection gets worse).
This leaves me to a few questions:
-following the adviced distance between devices there should be no problem. Is it possible that I miss something during the setup of the devices? I tought that all cable powered devices would enforce the zwave/zigbee signal. But do you have to do something in settings to make sure they are all branched to the same network? (I never change something in the z wave associations settings for example?)
-do the philips hue lamps enforce the zigbee signal if they are connected through the bridge?
-did I buy low quality devices?
-sometimes I cannot reach the homey pro itself while wifi connection is good at the place of the homey. Any reason for this?
-any tips to make sure you get notified when a smoke sensor loses connection?
Thanks a lot for your help!!
