Z Wave not working after updating to 13.2.0

Hey Guys - updated to 13.2.0 any of my light (MCO Home) switches that have more than one button on them don’t register with Homey when turning them on - that means any flows that work off that switch Homey doesn’t know the light switch been turned on so the flow won’t work - not had a problem like this for years

wondering has anyone else having a problem with their Z Wave ?

already tried to restart your Homey ? I’m not experiencing problems with Z-wave myself, i’m also at 13.2.0

Yes restarted homey also did an app restart before restarting Homey - I’ve contacted support - didn’t want to go down the road of removing them and re adding - I have a spare one might use that as a test

English please

Pull the plug for 20 minutes.
This should cause the z-wave mesh to build itself up from scratch.
Else restore an offline backup of a previous firmware version and wait for fixes

The best thing is always to check Homey Developer Tools
Also, sometimes helps to power down non battery powered ZWAVE devices for 1-2min except of what has been advised so far.

Z-wave buttons not working here. In developer tools all look good. Test works, device reachable, but Homey doesn’t react on pressing a button. Devices also look good in Homey. I doubt if PtP for 10 minutes would solve this as the network looks OK. Bad update.

None of my Z-Wave switches are working anymore. Removing and re-adding doesn’t work either; other Z-Wave devices are working just fine.

Received an email back from support saying

Thank you for reaching out to our support!

I have shared this support ticket and your diagnostic report with our development team for further analysis and I will share their feedback with you as soon as I receive it.

For now, I wish you a wonderful day.
Best regards,

Bas

As soon as I know anything else will post it here

You mean none of those or it’s specific to certain device?

We’re also experiencing a lot of issues after yesterday’s firmware upgrade. It’s been a long time since we’ve had this many problems with Homey.

Can you be more specific ?

I have 3 buttons of RobbSmart on Z-wave, these don’t work since. One zigbee button by Sonoff working fine.

These don’t work any more fibaro:FGS-212 / ROBB-smarrt:ZW_WallController_8
After the firmware upgrade yesterday to 13.2.0

@CasperV and @Harland , what does the Homey Developer Tools shows for those ?

TX/RX packets/errors/routing ? How many devices in total, only ROBB Smarrt having problems ? If only ROBB, tried to contact servicedesk@robbshop.nl ? This sounds like app issue, if the devices is “looking good” as you said in Devel. tools.

The release notes state: Homey Self-Hosted Server Changelog | Homey

Added S2 multicast security support.

  • S2 now grants all requested security keys (except S0) instead of only the highest.

  • S0 can be enabled from the advanced settings when pairing a default Z-Wave device. Disabled by default.

  • Incoming messages with too low or no security level are now ignored.

I’m no expert, but this seems to be causing the issues. Your devices don’t support S2 security (the better one), but only S0 security (the old one). S0 is disabled by default in v13.2.

More info and (I think) the solution can be found here: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/22063257283100-Z-Wave-security-in-Homey

Yeah, I think you’re right — but now the question is how to solve it.

Or is there no solution, and am I forced to replace all the non-working devices? I have one Fibaro FGS-212 that also has no security support. Fortunately, the others are only wall switches.
