I just unboxed and set up my new Wiz Sync Box yesterday.
My setup is running on Homey Bridge Premium.
Here’s what I’m trying to figure out:

I’d like to be able to switch directly from Homey between Ambilight/Sync Mode and the regular standard scenes.

Right now, it seems the Sync Mode can only be controlled via the Wiz app. That’s pretty inconvenient, since I don’t want to keep switching apps.

In the Wiz app, you can create scenes that act as shortcuts for toggling modes, but unfortunately, those scenes don’t get pulled into Homey.
Has anyone found a workaround for this, or maybe already tested how well the Sync Box integrates with Homey?
It would be awesome if there were a way to control the mode switch through Flows.

Sync box is not supported:

But,
maybe it works when you add the sync box as Wiz light:
It should be possible to trigger scenes with Homey:
When you trigger the flow with “A flow is started” card, and add it to fav flows, you can control it from the Homey app home screen.
It also should be possibles to add that flow to your phone screen using a Homey widget.
Else, just contact the app developer, as mentioned at the app page at the Homey app store.
Hey Peter, thanks for your explanation. You’re absolutely right — the Sync Box is already integrated as a “normal light,” so it can be dimmed, toggled, and even the well-known Wiz scenes like “Forest” or “Candle” can be triggered from the Homey app. Unfortunately, the “Sync” scene can’t.
I just thought maybe I had missed something.
If that’s not the case, I’ll check in with the developer. I’ll share any updates here.
