Tried to automate my garage door over the weekend. Bought a Shelly 1 Gen 4 to wire to the motor unit. The wiring I used is below. The wiring was simple enough (after some research), but I can’t get the unit to pair.
I have the official Shelly app installed. When I go to add a new device, it tells me to press reset 3 times to enter pairing mode. I do that and nothing happens. Some of what I find online indicates when it enters pairing an LED will some on. I don’t see one which makes me wonder if maybe it’s not getting power - but then again, given the small size of the unit, it’s possible I just don’t see it.
Doing more research, can’t seem to find a start to finish install video so asking here. Any pointers or gotchas? Does my wiring look correct? Help on the pairing approach?

Wiring:
- Red → Shelly 12V (powers the Shelly) - the + sign
- Black → Shelly GND (the -) and Shelly I (ground for both power and relay)
- White → Shelly O (the relay closes between O and I to trigger the door)
