I am trying to find a switch/mini switch to use as a “doorbell” outside. I am not interested in a doorbell with video and signal. The switch will be used as a trigger to send a message.
When you still have the push button at the door, you can disconnect the 2 wires from the transformer, and connect these to a Homey compatible water leak sensor for instance, like Aqara.
This is a device which just sends a signal when the contacts get connected to eachother.
These contacts are two screws, and can easily be used to wrap the wires around.
