I have recurring problems where my ikea matter devices loose connection. Restarting ikea, homey or repairing all fail. But installing does work. It should not be impossible to install a device and have it replace an existing device so you don’t have to edit all flows yourself. If you call that repair .. you’re there.
Are You looked at virtual devices? Depends of Your situation, and flow count with this device, but may-be easier to replace all references in flows with virtual device and then, when it’s time to change real device again just manage the virtual-real device link.
Have a look at app: flow converter. It helps to update flows in case of device ID changes.
The idea with virtual devices might be another easy way.
No offence but have You tried to find the root cause for devices loosing connection?
My setup is based on mainly IKEA Zigbee and Matter devices but loosing connection is really rare.
If it’s due to distance You can easily extend the range with 1-2 GRILLPLATS plugs or other mains powered Matter over Thread devices.
That is a way to accomplish it, however,
I used these VD back in the day to be able to use custom device icons. Big disadvantage: when something’s wrong with the virtual device app, nothing works anymore.
This is a really useful app, and has your flows repaired in a minute.

Distances are about 6m with wall+floor in between. I was not aware that if a perfectly functioning connection for a moment (after about 3 months) drops out due to some reason it is then immedeately forever and for all it’s siblings.
By adding 1-2 GRILLPLATS plugs between Your Homey and the existing Matter plug You improve the Mesh network so there are multiple ways for signal to reach thru wall/floor. I had to add a couple of both Zigbee and Matter plugs as routers as our house is quite long but somewhat narrow.
