“My Homey runs fine blabla…”
It’s always the same on internet or in computers in general : the “it works for me, so it’s your fault” thing. It’s very good that it’s working for you. On the contrary, who am I to wish it didn’t work for someone else?
You know, for me, even the cloud save does not work. A paid service. Every other day, I get an error telling me that the backup couldn’t be done.
Every time I try to edit a feed, I get a “Homey’s offline”. I have to try ten times before I’m allowed to edit a feed. And I must be fast because it becomes offline again.
So certainly, some things work very well like the Z-Wave network and some Zigbee devices. But it’s this questionable reliability that makes things tiresome. I clearly have a hard time justifying a light that doesn’t turn on to my wife when she simply presses a button.
I probably mixed brands and products too much, but Athom never told me that I should be careful not to multiply the different brands too much. I even ordered the Pro version of Homey, which is supposed to have more compatible peripherals at the same time.
I can’t be held responsible for not looking deeper when I have a problem. Otherwise, it’s towards a solution like Home Assistant that I should have gone.
My real problem is that there is no clear solution to my problem.
