My 2023 homey worked perfectly until it just died.
Decided to buy a homey 2026 since i liked homey alot.
I First did a USB transfer of my files, but that failed miserably.
I then went on with the blizzfull “joy” of adding each every item and app i had.
Im on my third day where the zigbee network is just completly unreliable.
I use namron, & microdim lights, relays, and led with 230v. Sonoff, frient sensors and fire alarms battery power.
All of them fall out atleast 20x a day. All of them was added properly with battery items added last in line.
The frient sensors, 4 out of 6!!! of them actually got soft bricked, cant be resetted and is now garbage.
Several zigbee items takes all from 1 to 10 attempts before being added.
Also have devices that now says they are added but are nowhere to be found in homey app, web browser and developers tool.
Zigbee channel is 11.
Moved my homey to better spot, it has ethernet,
Moved all my google wifi mesh far away.
Atm my house is useless!
Anyone experiencing similar problems, with solutions?
In addition to @Sharkys 's question: when you continued setting up your new Homey manually, was that based on a fresh/factory reset Homey or did you continue after the failed transfer?
If you did start of with restoring a back-up, then a Zigbee reset is really something to consider. When I migrated from my 2023 to 2026 model, with a working back-up, I needed to reset the Zigbee network als repair (not re-pair) all my Zigbee devices, due to a change in the coordinator (= Homey) ID.
Is this the same channel al that your were using on your 2023? If not, then there might be an overlap/conflict with your WiFi channel, which can cause issues with your Zigbee network. The only way to change the Zigbee channel in Homey is through a Zigbee reset. You might need to reset it several times, until your Homey lands on the Zigbee channel you want.
Are you first pairing your Zigbee router devices (like smart plugs) and only then the end devices (battery powered, like sensors)?
At first my homey would not Even boot up the old file. Did a Factory reset then added the file again with success, but could not connect to several device with repair function.
I then Factory reset it again and added ruter device first as recommended then Battery powered.
Factory resetted and tried again with old. Copy. Booted up but several devices was lost, some was not able to connect with repair (sensor mostly stuck om soft bricked).
I developer mode they where identified as unknown nodes.
So i ended up resetting the entire Zigbee network, channel 20.
Massive improvements compared to how it was.
My Lights have not timed out, since the Zigbee network reset and channel change. Still abit delay on light Activation with sensors, tried both frient Motion Sensor pro and p1 aqara to compare, seems to be same delay on both.
However, in the Zigbee network reset i lost another frient Motion Sensor pro and my frient han EMI Norwegian to soft bricked issue.
They could not be added again through repair. Also removed from homey both and tried a full reset but the reset button will not work with hold button command (removed Battery and changed them new ones on sensor and pluggd out ethernet med on EMI). Sensor blinks green when like when it detects a person but nothing more and EMI shows constant red light.
All in all lost 5 frient Motion sensors and 1 EMI. Might be frient hardware issue, but they worked fine till i changed to homey 2026, so be aware.
