I am quite new to Homey. Are there any possibilities to connect the Abode Water leak sensor to the Homey pro? I have searched in apps for Homey without sucess.

The quickest way to check whether a device is supported is to search the app store. If you can’t find the specific device, have a look for the brand of device you are looking for.
If no app is found, you can make a request to Athom or the Homey Community to add support. See [Requests] Official Homey App and Device Request for ways of doing that.

the Abode tools seem not to be supported. You can search in Apps for Homey. There might be a segway via Apple HomeKit, which I do not recommend, but probably someone can show you how.
But there are many other water leak detectors, which you can find in the Best Buy Guide
