Vote here for a migration option to Homey Self-Hosted Server

191 should do it🤣

Whilst talking to homey support about another issue i mentioned this post.

I asked about migration tool and using the HP23 as a bridge.

This is what they said

  1. This will be difficult because the hardware people will use for their SHS will vary enormously and migration with the software and hardware settings of a Homey Pro would lead to conflicts with other setups, but it has been noted.

  2. As a Homey Pro is a local controller, it has much more hardware than would be required for true satellite, but your request has been forwarded

Hopefully if enough of us ask, they will make this happen

Hi @Emile , @Doekse , could you please give some insights whether we can expect a migration/restore from a Pro 2019/2023/2026 cloud Backup to an SHS instance? Currently we can only hope for it. I’m not askimg for timelines, but just some insights whether it might be implemented or not.

My 2019 is overloaded and I need to make choices going forward.

And mayby olso a option( if your HP2023 - 2019- 2026 broken) to Temporarily switch to SHS, for a maximum of, say, one month.
During that time, your HP23 / 26 / 19 can be repaired or replaced. After that month, you can no longer use SHS for, say, two months, until you can reactivate this service again for a month.

Purchasing a lifetime subscription for this “backup” is also not advisable. Mayby a part of/ or in combination with the backup subscription

This is nice, but i would not be using SHS untill i can use my own hardware for Antennas like Home Assistent. There i have seperate antennas for Zwave, Zigbee, Thread/Matter.

And with the current option i must use a Home Bridge, And that does not have Thread/Matter.
I use several Matter/Thread devices. I can not work without them.

The only thing keeping me using Homey is for the Advanced Flows. But for the hardware i have Home Assistent. I can choose much more with Home Assistent. And don’t have the problems with Zigbee and Matter because they use different hardware.

Watch out for C.A.F.E which currently in beta for Home Assistant.
Once this is in stable release, arguments pro Homey will become extremely sparse…

I already have C.A.F.E installed. But it is still in the Beta status.

I’l wait what this is going to be, but it looks promising!!!

I manually moved my devices and now the zigbee stops working, a reboot sometimes works but the same devices work on my pro 2023 zigbee but shs start timing out after I add 10 or more using the bridge , bought a new bridge, same issue, I tried to report it but the diagnostic say over load me, I’ll have to go back to my hp 2023 until zigbee works like my hp 2023, on Home SHS :frowning:
