VisHome — your Homey devices on an interactive floor plan (looking for testers)

Hi all,

For the past months I’ve been building VisHome, a mobile app that puts my Homey Pro
devices where they actually are: on a floor plan of the house. It started as a scratch-my-own-itch
project and it now runs my home daily, so I’d like a few more pairs of eyes on it.

What it does

  • Floor plans per storey, with device markers showing live state.
  • Two ways to get a plan in: draw it yourself (walls, partitions, doors, windows, roof
windows, stairs, terraces, ceiling-height lines) or let an LLM generate
it from a photo of an architect’s plan and correct it over review iterations.
  • Device panel generated from the device’s own capabilities, not hardcoded per device:
everything on one screen, no hidden dropdowns. Blinds get position and slats, thermostats a
thermometer that follows the active mode, locks a deliberate press-and-hold.
  • Icon rules: colour, glow and pulse driven by conditions on the device’s state, so a leak
alarm or a running washing machine is visible at a glance across the plan.
  • Conditional value text: map raw values to your own labels, e.g. ventilation mode 1 → “LO”.
  • Groups (to run commants to multiple devices at once), shortcuts (Homey’s quick action - multiplied),
  • a favourites bar and an events list.
  • Cameras: live view and event snapshots, including NVR channels.
  • Kiosk mode for a wall tablet: full-screen plan that displays and controls, never edits.
  • Two skins (dark “pro” and a retro terminal one), PL/EN, settings export/import.

Honest requirements

  • Homey Pro only.
  • You create your own Homey OAuth client in Athom’s developer tools. It’s a two-minute step, guided in the app.
  • AI plan generation is optional and uses your own LLM API key. Everything else works
    without it.
  • No backend, no accounts, no analytics. Tokens and keys stay on your device.

Testing

Android is on Google Play internal testing right now — reply or DM me the Google account email
you use on your phone and I’ll add you to the tester list. iOS will follow via TestFlight.

What I’d like feedback on: the OAuth setup, whether the plan editor is usable for someone
who didn’t write it, device panels for hardware I don’t own, and performance in big homes.
There’s a bug-report button in the app that attaches a diagnostic bundle, so reporting is one tap.
