I recently started testing Homey Pro and decided to document the experience step by step in a Beginner Series, starting completely from scratch.

The goal of this series is to help new Homey users get up and running quickly, understand the basics, and build confidence before moving into more advanced setups — without overcomplicating things.

  • First-time setup and initial configuration

  • Homey app & menus overview

  • Apps and compatibility (Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Matter)

  • Pairing devices from different brands (IKEA, Aqara, Sonoff, NOUS, Roborock, etc.)

  • Building simple automations with Flows

  • Introduction to Advanced Flow using real-world examples

Could u make a video about zigbee? And like adding a zigbee device or setting up a zigbee mesh?

In this episode, I cover:

  • Pairing devices from different brands (Zigbee & Wi-Fi)

  • How the Homey App & Apps system works

  • Adding devices like IKEA, Aqara, Sonoff, NOUS, and Roborock

  • Building a first automation using Flows

  • A practical Advanced Flow example (motion + time + delay)

The goal of the series is to show how Homey works step by step, from a beginner’s perspective, without skipping important details.

You are building a very nice set of instruction videos for beginners! :+1:

If I might give you a tip: you are a fast talker :blush:. At the same time, you provide a lot of useful info. This might go a little fast for a beginner. You may want to slow down the voice-over somewhat.

Worst case, YT has a Playback speed option.

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback! That’s a very fair point — I’ll try to slow down a bit in the beginner-focused videos so they’re easier to follow.
