I’m using the Matterbridge module in my Home Assistant Platform to share some Zigbee devices with Homey. The Matterbridge module exposes these devices using Matter.
The integration within Homey is working fine, but I’m encountering an issue where the devices appear twice. Does anyone else have this problem? I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the Matterbridge module or Homey Pro.
I’ve just set up Z2M on my HA so I can share Zigbee devices across multiple platforms. However, I wanted to test other alternatives. The HA application in Homey isn’t reliable for power consumption and neither is Matterbridge in HA, in Homey sometimes have a good value but others don’t. So the final solution is to move to Z2M.
Another option is to add the Zigbee device to Homey and use Matterbridge in Home Assistant to share it. and I missed the HA Community app… I.ll’check it out.
But thank you too, I didn’t know about MatterBridges’ existence, so I just tried it with Homey SHS, and it went fine, 62 devices were added, no doubles.
In Matterbridge in HA, use a label or tag to select which devices are shared as Matter. Then in Matterbridge’s preferences, select “Filter by label/tag” so it automatically shares the chosen devices.
I see. However, my network, both wifi & LAN, collapsed completely, I’ve never experienced such a phenomenon here.
I took a while before I realised it was related to the MatterBridge and/or it’s zigbee2mqtt plugin.
I restorend a backup from last night to get things back to normal, and I’ll stick with zigbee for now
