If I understand correctly, existing users can still use the Tuya app for Homey. I just added a Zigbee Switch to Homey. That went well. Only the setup doesn’t work. I can’t choose a button. Nothing appears. Or does this also have to do with that broken API?
Are you using the Tuya Zigbee App for connecting your switch? There is a separate topic dedicated to that app: [APP][Pro] Tuya Zigbee App
It also lists which devices are supported and provides info on how you can request unsupported devices to be added. You’ll need to use the latest test version of the app to get support for all the devices listed.
Additionally:
Your info is about the ‘official’ Tuya Wifi (cloud) app. This app (and the Tuya Cloud community app) needs an API and a login.
But,
When you add a zigbee device to Homey zigbee directly (meaning: NOT added to a separate Tuya zigbee hub), you’d use the aforementioned Tuya Zigbee app.
No logins, no API, no Tuya-in-between.
Oh, no… I wasn’t using the Tuya Zigee App. I was using the official app. I thought it might work because I could add the device, but it didn’t work. But it works with the testversion of the Tuya Zigbee App. Thanks for the tip .
Yes, I was reading the [APP] Tuya - Connect any Tuya device with Homey (by Tuya Inc. / Athom) - Apps - Homey Community Forum topic. I wanted to post in that topic first, but I didn’t dare to post it so I made a new topic.
When I add the device directly, I can’t choose the options (1-click, 2-clicks or hold). But it works with the Tuya Zigbee App.
Please ask in the appropriate topic, as linked in the App store or use the search to centralize questions about a specific App of device/brand.
Therefore Closed.
