Good evening,
I got errors when turning off the ECO-DIM.05 DUO dimmer via my Homey:
Errors:
- Time out: Expected Response
- Time out after 30000ms (see attached photos).
The dimmer and the lights work as they should, and everything seems to be in order, except for these annoying notifications.
I have a Homey Pro 2019 (early) with the latest firmware (12.2.0) and app version (EcoDim v2.5.0). The Homey is located in the same room as the dimmer.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Michael
The same error here on the same device. Anyone else the same problem?
Did you find a solution to this problem? I have the same with an ECO-DIM.05 duo dimmer but with a Homey Pro 2023. Timeout after 10000ms, both when switching on or off.
I already tried resetting the dimmer to factory defaults and adding it again to Homey, but that didn’t help. The ECO-DIM.07 single channel dimmer next to the .05 works without any problems.
I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?
same here… Anybody found a solution?
I just replied your similar question in the ecodim topic, Patrick
Has anybody a solution yet
was solved on my side. apparently large amount of chatter over zigbee, and the ecodims crash the first in that case.

And how did you solve it?
Find the devices with high chatter (on my side defective Ikea askvader units which were continuously tripping). Found that out by deactivating apps one by one. And then removing them. That immediately solved the ecodim issue
Additionally, certain devices have (advanced) settings available, to decrease polling intervals for instance. This might help reducing the chatter.
If they don’t, like these Ikea devices, only replacing / removing is the fix.
And I’d report the issues to the manufacturer / app developer.
Same problem here.. did not know about this issue before i installed this dimmer.
But found an interesting work around, do not switch on or off using homey buttons, but dim to i.e. 60% for on, and dim to 0% for off. This will not cause the time-out error message.
I also wonder why this is not solved by either a FW update for the ecodim 0.5 duo dimmer or a update for the ecodim app in homey… does anyone have some update about this??
