The new flowcard to pause a advanced flow and wait for input is great. But I only see examples in the announcement with a static user in the flow.
I think the real benefit comes when the flow can determine who started the flow.
Is it already possible to determine who started the flow?
No, that’s not possible.
If you would start a flow though a button on a virtual device (changing its state from false to true and v.v.) you might be able to determine which user pressed the button (and thus started the flow) using the following approach and monitor/watch the button state:
Well, thats sad. Then we need flows for every person who you’d like to ask the question.
Not really “Home” automation.
I hope Athom will support this someday because I like the possibilities of this new flowcard.
Yeah, but that feature didn’t work on HP2023 a while ago. Maybe Arie fixed this already or it is fixed by Athom updates. It was not clear if it was something caused by Athom or the app. I’ll give it a try again.
I guess it is something that should be primarily supported by Athom.
