I added my Tapo H200 hub via Matter to bring my temperature sensors in Homey. Strangely one device is lost after a bit.
In the timeline it says “Matter device was reset to factory settings, or externally removed from Homey”
I then remove all the devices and re-add the hub. Now after a while this happens to another device.
It happens max a couple of hours after it is re-added.
Now it’s been around 24h since I added the hub, and no further devices have been removed.
Anyone have any suggestions what is going on?
Yea I saw this earlier. But did not see a solution?
For info I have Unifi equipment. multicast DNS enabled . Multicast enhancement enabled. Igmp snooping enabled. Tried with the last 2 settings both on and off
As stated in the other thread, I’ve never seen this behavior. I’ve added many Matter devices over the past months but what I can tell you is that setting up a stable Matter environment with Ubiquiti has been a hassle, especially while using Apple TV and Apple Homepods as Thread Border Routers. Once I moved over to Homey as the TBR it has been rock solid but it seems that it takes a while before a Matter over Thread network becomes stable. Hopefully the upcoming introduction of TREL (Thread Radio Encapsulation Link) will clear up the sky when TBR’s will talk with each other.
Get exact same issue with Switchbot Universal Remote added through IOS or Homey pro same result everything work fine for a day and then get the message "Matter device was reset to factory settings, or externally removed from Homey” could be network related or linked to deep sleep mode but cannot find any logs with valuable info
I’m experiencing a strange issue with my Sonoff M5 3-channel switch, which is connected to Homey through the iHost Matter Bridge. Most of my other devices work perfectly fine, and even the other two channels of the same switch function correctly, but one specific channel becomes unavailable in Homey.
Here’s what I’ve observed:
• The device works perfectly fine in eWeLink and iHost.
• In Homey, the problematic channel first appears and works normally, but after a few hours, it becomes “Device unavailable.”
• I already removed and reconfigured the entire setup, and the issue disappeared temporarily, but after a few hours, the same problem returned.
• Other Sonoff devices connected via the iHost Matter Bridge are working fine.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Sonoff M5 and Matter integration in Homey? Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or fix this issue permanently?
