is the trigger after sunset running until before sunrise or for how long period is after sunset?
The sun sets here (schiphol) today at 16:54.
So the trigger āit is sunsetā is at 16:54
The condition āafter sunsetā is true between 16:54 and 24:00.
The sun rises today at 8:45
So the trigger āit is sunriseā is at 8:45.
The condition ābefore sunriseā is true between 0:00 and 8:45
The condition āit is darkā is true between 16:54 and 8:45.
The condition āit is lightā is true between 8:45 and 16:54.
(Iām not sure what the exact text for the triggers and conditions are in English)
In another thread it was mentioned resently it might be advisable to ask āis it not after sunriseā to circumvent the midnight problem when using āis it bevor sunriseā. At least thatās what I remember.
I have also heard of the recommendation mentioned by @SingKT. My recommendation would therefore be to use the following combination:
A short note about the correct wording:
- A trigger is a short, one-time event or a status change.
Related flow cards can be found in the āWhenā¦ā section. - āAfter sunsetā is a condition, such as āIs turned on,ā āIt is night,ā etc.
Related flow cards can be found in the āAndā¦ā section.
