Starting to loose faith in Homey

“How to respond on-topic then?”

I guess you have missed the part where Paxman explains the issues and asks for help. Responding to that would be an on-topic reply instead of pointing out a spelling error in the title

I wasn’t the one pointing out a spelling error.
My only point is:
The topic title is not very helpful and doesn’t describe the problem with Homey. I think a topic title should be meaningful.
And again and again expressing your frustrations doesn’t help anyone.

and therefore this complete topic is off-Topic, moved and going to close (Automatically).

This topic is getting toxic,
this forum is not a Complaint box / shout box,
it should help users to share information and get answers or help.

@Topic Starter, and everyone els… feel free to:

  1. Create a new Topic with a clear meaningful title.
  2. be cooperative in providing a clear issue or question…

The community probably will try to help.

Thx @Dijker

Toxic.

Why are you targeting me Djiker? I’m doing my best here but you treat me like I’m some kind of troll. Do you want me to leave the forum?

You could help me instead, like I asked you to do in another thread that you totally misunderstood, by changing the topic.

I’m not breaking forum rules intentionally but one small mistake and you crack down on me sabotaging my strive to learn more about Homey and contributing to the evolvement of the system. You are enforcing my feeling that this forum is an elitist space where it’s OK to bash non perfect English and bullying noobs is not reprimanded.

It is not my fault that this thread turned toxic but you punish me by moving it to “Off topic” and closing it. Why?

Is your Homey on wifi or on ethernet? Mine was on wifi and i experienced issues regularly. Then I bought the ethernet dongle. Since then, I have had 0 (zero) issues. Everything works perfectly. I almost gave up on Homey, but with ehternet, Homey is my friend again.

Cool down bro. Dijker is not siding with anyone, don’t make it personal.

Anyways; I think that 433 mhz might be the issue here. That band is highly occupied and has weak reliability. No callback / retry mechanism. Just fire away and hope it works.

Invest in Fibaro, you will not be sorry. Also fibaro (z wave) can work without homey if you link zwave devices with eachother by setting up group associations with zwave remotes.

Correct, there are already a lot topics about that: Search results for '433MHz reliable' - Homey Community Forum and with AI and problems even more Search results for '433MHz problems' - Homey Community Forum

I guess it was even one of the first reply’s here,

But if everything is a problem, nothing get’s solved …

so, at everyone … feel free to:

  1. Create a new Topic with a clear meaningful title (Preferably with ONE issue).
  2. be cooperative in providing a clear issue or question…

The community probably will try to help.

In the past I had this one.

Rfxcom USB 433MHz Controller Rfxtrx433 Transceiver.

In the log you had a lot of data form neighbors. Terrible to find your one in it.
But you saw also there devices and you could then switch on/off.
Then those weather-stations with low battery. :rage:

These two weeks give you the possibility to play with Homey Pro 2023.

I am happy with Homey Pro 2023. It controls my home battery and heat pump, and many more devices to make life easy and to save money on energy consumption. Hope you will regain your trust in Homey. Don’t bother about all the comments here in this forum, just smile and click on…
