  • Windows / door open sensors

Thanks in advance.

Welcome @Adrian_Staniszewski

In the last 8 months, I didn’t experience a single issue with this one and Homey Pro 2023:
Multipurpose Sensor - Aeotec

Thanks, do you using any other Aeotec sensors? And you could also recomend them? You use this door sensor with any gate or just connect to homey pro?

I use it directly with Homey pro and their official App : https://homey.app/en-ie/app/com.aeotec/Aeotec/

I also have their water leak sensor https://aeotec.com/products/aeotec-water-leak-sensor/

These 2 above I can recommend but…

…Make sure you have a good foundation for your Zigbee network(s). Plan to avoid channel conflict with Wifi and other Zigbee network if you have a Philips Hue bridge etc… Plan to have Zigbee routers if needed, do not place your Homey next to your wireless AP etc… there are couple of discussions in the community on top ot the very limited information in the official KB article from Homey

I also have a multi Sensor 7 somewhere that I still need to add so I can’t provide feedback on that one.

Be aware that Multi Sens-7 is a Z-Wave device, not Zigbee!

And? Homey pro work with z waves

Sure, but the other items where about Zigbee, Z-Wave builds his own mesh network, so also needs his own Z-Wave routers, can also work perfect on Homey.

Generaly, I find Z-Wave much more stabil then ZigBee. Aeotecand Fibaro are both built on Zwave, and they both function very good i Homey

Aeotec also has some Zigbee devices that works well with Homey. Most of the issue I see with Homey and Zigbee seems to be with Aqara devices. My Zigbee network is stable for the last 8 months and just for the “fun”, I ordered one Aqara Zigbee device that I’m going to add to Homey and see if it causes any problem with either my entire Zigbee network or just this particular device. It will be located around the same distance as my other Aeotec Zigbee devices.
