SONOS Play5-gen1 pairing gives “invalid_parameter”

Hi all!!
I’ve got myself 2 new (old) SONOS Play:5 gen1 speakers. They are working fine in the SONOS-S1 app, but I’m not able to connect them to my Homey-pro(16-19).

I’ve installed the latest app for SONOS: 6.6.1
When I add a Sonos device, my Homey finds the 2 new speakers to add. When both (or one of them) selected and going on with the pairing, I’ll get an error. The error comes in 2 versions:

  • “Device: should be string (#/properties/icon/type)”
  • “invalid_parameter”

Hopefully someone can help me with this one! Thanks in advance and merry Christmas!

I have the same issue, but only the

  • “invalid_parameter”

I have contacted Homey support about this, hopefully we get some info.

My guess is that this is a kind of bug in the Homey Sonos App.

Other question is what Homey can do with the Sonos, other than “Play Sonos” via Google.

Im also “stuck” with older Gen1 Sonos speakers. Seems that Homey connection only works through the Sonos2 app. I have little hope that they will officially integrate into Sonos1 app =(

i2Paq any new on this topic from Homey support. I have 3 generation 1 Sonos speakers. All working great in the Sonos 1 app. I installed the latest Sonos app for Homey. He finds all my 3 speakers but when I tried to add them all 3 give me “invalid-parameter” back. Sonos Homey app states it supports both Sonos version 1 and 2 speakers.

Hope it works soon.
