SONOFF Zigbee Human Presence Sensor | SNZB-06P

Delay: you can change the value. Minimum is 15 sec according to the specs. Don’t know if this actually works.
Luminance: No, it does not report it.

Hi, thanks for that great update!

Got a problem: device is recognized as contact sensor and not motion sensor. Problem with my device?

Hello, is it possible to update the SONOFF SNZB-06P firmware with homey?

No, Homey doesn’t support OTA updates for Zigbee devices.

Another simple solution for firmware update with PC?

Not a simple solution, no. It would require installing a different Zigbee implementation, like zigbee2mqtt, which also requires additional hardware.

Also, it requires the firmware files for the device to be available, which isn’t always the case.

That’s disappointing. I have many Zigbee devices and assumed they would receive updates normally. Does anyone have any recommendations for updating them, perhaps once every six months?

e.g. Is it possible to connect all the devices to Home Assistant or any other hub and run the update through there? Alternatively, are there other methods that wouldn’t require repeatedly removing and adding devices to Homey?

Yes, that’s possible.

Use an alternative Zigbee implementation that supports OTA updates, like zigbee2mqtt or Home Assistant, and share their devices with Homey using their respective apps.

Good morning, thank you for the driver!! I’ve just received my Sonnof Presence Sensor and it was added with no problems.

I’ve been testing a little bit. Is it possible to reduce the motion alarm time off? I created an “advanced” (very simple) flow for testing so, when the Motion Alarm turns on, it turns on the light and viceversa but it takes like 60 seconds to turn off the Motion Alarm.

Thank you!

Hi all
Really happy with the integration. Easy to install, works like a charm.
One question: I don’t see the presence indicator, only the motion detector and the luminance.
Is this feature available and how do I activate it?
Kind regards
Ivan

AFAIK the sensor only supports presence/occupancy. But since Homey doesn’t have specific support for this capability, it’s “translated” to motion/beweging.

In other words: if Bewegingsalarm is “Ja”, it means the sensor detected presence.

A top, it looks like motion instead of presence since he doesn’t detect until “the eye” sees me but now I am sure. The presence detection is not quite precise then. But that is a “hardware issue”

You can use this:

That would turn off the light after 30 seconds even if I’m still in the room. I had that with the motion sensor but that’s why I bought the presence sensor  The idea is to just reduce the time of the motion alarm turning off.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Maybe there is a setting in device-settings of the sensor?
Or is it possible to use the Zone -Activity cards?
image
( zone became active )
( zone was inactive for 1 minute ) unfortunately minimal 1 minute!

Exactly… that’s what I’m trying to reduce.

@Ricardo_Santos any chance to add this to the settings? IT would be great!

Thank you for the awesome work!

Zones are handled by Homey’s core software, not by apps.

So presence sensor with zones don’t exist for HP guys!
I’m very skeptic about this.
Maybe I will try the FP2 through Aqara original app and after I connect it to my HomeKit.
I don’t know any other way

i have the FP2, its a pain in the A… Because the Aqara App is just trash.

You have to define the Zones ins the Aqara app, and HomeKit sees a different device for every Zone you created. You can now trigger some automations and pass it to Homey over a virtual device.

iI have a number of these motion detectors, there is one that sometimes works fine for days and then suddenly does not work for days in a row and then works fine again out of nowhere. I see that the sensor is running on 1.0. 6. (just like the others so I don’t think that’s the problem) but I am curious what the problem could be. Am I the only one with this problem and does anyone have any ideas?
