Sonoff SNZB-01P appearing as a battery in Homey Pro 2023

OK, TY!

Then we can just hope that Athom takes over Sonoff app development pretty soon or that StyraHem Sweden makes the update/fix.

Maybe to be more clear. (maybe)

If I use the Homey android app, then I can select 1 and 2 click and long press.
But if I use a web browser on a desktop or mobile device, then I can not select/add or view the action/trigger in a flow.

How it works on a Iphone I have no idea.
This may help??

I understand that it’s a lot of work to develop a new app, but is there any plan for when it might be ready? I’ve used Homeseer and Home Assistant for many years, but I am trying to do a simpler installation in our holiday home to get more of the family interested. But if this is far away, I’ll have to scrap Homey and set up a Home Assistant instead. It’s fun to solve technical problems, but sitting around and swearing about this is driving me crazy.

I’m aiming for late Q3 or early Q4, but I can’t make any promises here. In the meantime the current Sonoff app is still there to be used.

Unfortunately that’s not always possible as described here. But I have a couple of IKEA ā€œRODRETā€ switches I can use meanwhile so take Your time! :cowboy_hat_face:

@Doekse, in my opinion, there’s no need for another or new app for Sonoff devices. It should just be ensured somehow that bugs in existing apps are fixed quickly and that new devices are added within a reasonable timeframe.

What I can’t understand is why there are different apps available for what are, in some cases, the same devices or even the same features. Of course, I know the reason. But it would make sense to consolidate development resources. For example, the two current Sonoff apps, the ā€œofficialā€ Sonoff app from StyraHem Sweden and the community app SONOFF Zigbee by Johan Bendz, could be merged. This would not only conserve resources for development but also benefit some Homey users. Both apps support devices that aren’t supported by the other app. As a result, some users may have to install both apps for their Sonoff devices to work with Homey. However, having to install both Sonoff apps wastes disk space and RAM.

That makes absolutely no sense!

I know this solution works more in theory than in practice. But maybe you should still give it some thought, if you haven’t already.

Totally agree with you here! And that’s also our current idea; merging the official and community app into a single official Sonoff app for all Zigbee and Matter devices. Wifi devices can be paired via the eWeLink app.

We should indeed consolidate apps as much as possible.

It’s just that we need to reach a consensus with both Styrahem and Johan Bendz

That sounds promising! Thx!

Could something similar be possible to minimize the amount of Tuya apps?
