Sonoff LCD Temp and Humidity sensor pairing time-out

Hi,

(Relates to Homey Pro 2016-2019)

I am trying to pair a Sonoff LCD Temperature and Humidity Sensor (SNZB-02D) to my Homey.

As the device should be fully supported as a Sonoff Zigbee device in Homey I expected a smoothless pairing.

When I try to add the device and put it into pairing Homey quickly recognizes it and starts working on completing the pairing (which takes long). However before this is completed the device ends the pairing process and thus I get an error from Homey that the installation was not succesful.

I tried this many times, also restarted Homey, tried installing it as a generic device, etc…

Any tips on how to get the device installed?

Hi,

FYI: I use the same device for measuring the watertemperature in our hottub and both pairing and usage since then work seamlessly. So this may be an occasionable issue and not structural to the device.

So you did not experience this when setting it up the first time?

I assume this is a battery powered device. Those tend to enter sleep mode after a few second. As such, it may go to sleep while pairing. To prevent this, press the pairing button every few secs during the pairing proces. This will keep the device alive.
