TL;DR: is it possible to make a standalone dashboard app in the same language as the Homey-app is compiled with, which contains only the dashboard? So, without any other functions.
First of all, probs for adding the dashboard to your standard service (for the Pro). For me, a casual user, it is great. Like a lot of other users, I would like to use an old phone (or tablet) as dashboard. Now I started using the app on a Samsung Galaxy S8 in kiosk mode. It works and it’s not bad. Unfortunately the app is pretty heavy and suffering from lag while opening the phone, because it refreshed the app on opening the phone/dashboard. It takes 5 seconds before I can use the dashboard. A webapp would be nice, but I understand that this is complicated. But isn’t it possible to make a standalone app which only contains the dashboard, with less refreshing on the background. I wonder if that will make the experience of using the dashboard more fluent. And also this will solve the workaround to create an extra guest account just for the dashboard.
