Red dot at android app?

Since the latest (beta 9.1.0.1680) update of the android app I see a red dot with a number.
Searching for a while now, but have no clue where the number is referring to.
Anyone?

I expect there are somewhere in the Homey app 6 messages waiting for me, but I can’t find them.

Turned off and on the Notifications permission and now the red dot is gone… but I’m still curious what it was.

As with every Android app the number of Notifications of the App.

Sure, but what are these notifications, where can I find them? Because it doesn’t seem to be the app updates.

In the Android notifications area. As @Dijker says, it’s a standard Android feature. More info here including a reference to ‘notification dots’.

Thanks. Somehow after clearing the messages the dot was still there. But now If i remove the messages the dot is gone.

I have seen that with other android apps also happen sometimes.
