Hi. Is it possible to reconnect devices to Homey without removing them? So i dont have to update my flows and groups.
You can use this (just for z-wave I guess)
https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/pair
Also, you can just pair an existing device again → Homey will probably respond with: “This device is already paired”; → When you restart the app in question, the device should work again without further actions needed.
Does it need to be removed, and paired again, then there’s this brilliant script to replace the device ID’s, and then all’s set:
I reconnected it, but Homey deleted the old dimmer and made a new one. I will try the script next time.
Thank you for the tip
Hi,
I was looking thru various topics and this one seems not to be continued for a longer time but also quite close to what I wanted to ask so please do excuse me if I place my question in a wrong thread…
I have few HA devices connected to Homey and I noticed that when Homey is down and than reconnects not always these devices reconnect to Homey too… in particular - I have two ESP based presence sensors that I sometimes need to manually reconnect to Homey and then everything works perfectly fine again. Now my question: is there a way to have the “reconnect device” action in a flow starting with “when Homey reconnects”…?
I mean this particular action from device maintenance menu:
many thanks
