Hi!
My Setup:
Homey Pro + Homey Bridge, Philips Hue Pro Hub, Ikea Dirigera Hub, tado° Hub
I imported all devices in my home (approx. 160) to Homey Pro, but leaving the important vendor bridges in place. I also installed the Homey Skin on my Amazon Alexa to be able to voice control my devices.
What happened?
I needed to replace some devices (e.g., Philips Hue bulbs) with new ones. I removed the devices from the vendor hub, additionally from Homey Pro and manually from Amazon Alexa. I setup the new devices using the vendor hub and imported the devices to Homey Pro without having issues.
I would have expected that these new devices (named exactly as the old ones) would appear automatically in Amazon Alexa’s Homey skill. But this didn’t happen. Trying to manually add the devices to Amazon Alexa doesn’t work either?
Question!
It looks as if devices that are added to Homey Pro after the Amazon Alexa Homey skill is activated, will not be automatically added (or appear) in Amazon Alexa. A behaviour that I haven’t seen so far in any other skill.
Any idea why devices that are newly added to Homey Pro, don’t appear automatically in Amazon Alexa?
Thanks for your input / feedback / ideas!
Solution!
OK, seems I have found the solution: de-activate the Homey Alexa Skill and re-activate it again. The skill then shows all devices that were added since the last de-/re-activation.
