Am i correct that an out-of-the-box Homey Pro Mini does not allow adding a push notification card in an advanced flow being created in the desktop web app? When I try to add a THEN card, the Mobile section does not list any push notification cards. Do I need to add an app? I would like to send a text message to a phone number.
No, imho these are onboard flow cards.
Are you sure you selected Then and not When?
Did you install Homey app on a phone (not solely on a tablet)?
This is available (Pro 2019):
Or just use the search bar:
Peter, the first image youāve sent is the one I see. But all of the information Iāve seen so far has the card labeled āPush Notificationsā not āMobileā. And, in any case, who is USER? Iād like to be able to send a text message to the phone number of my choosing. Thanks, so far. - Iām using a just-purchased Homey Pro Mini.
Hi John,
Well, āsend Push notificationsā is another description for āsend text to a Homey usersā phone, using Homey technologyā.
[User] is a selection field, you can select one of your Homey users after you inserted the card to a flow.
A valid user for these cards is a Homey account added to your Homey, along with the logged in mobile Homey app installed on a phone.
.
Thatās only possible with additional Homey apps, like CallMeBot or SMS and such;
App store query for messaging apps:

OK, Peter. Iāll see what I can do. My first stab at testing a flow using SEND . . . TO hasnāt resulted in anything coming to my phone, but Iāll keep trying to figure this out. Thanks for your answers.
John, probably the Homey app needs some permissions?

Well, all is fine now. I either got the thing confused with all of my trying to get it right, or I didnāt wait long enough before testing after making a change. Maybe I didnāt click SAVE on the flow page. Who knows. The permissions were already set correctly. And having the Homey app installed on the other phones I want to send notifications to works fine, so I wonāt need to get another app involved. Thanks again for your advice and explanations, Peter. My biggest hang-up was probably not understanding why my card does not match what Iāve seen online (Push Notifications).
YW, John.
Yea sometimes things get changed along the way, but the documentation isnāt. Or only after a long time / after enough complaints ![]()

I only noticed now theyāve changed it to āMobileā.
But searching for āmobileā in the flow card picker doesnāt return the notification cards as results ![]()
