Problems after firmware update to v13.5.2, Homey Pro 2023

Hi, Is anyone else having problems after firmware update to v13.5.2 today?
I’ve found that all devices communicating with the Homey Pro 2023 via the local IP network stopped communicating after the update to fw v13.5.2. such as Shelly device, Huawei(Emma), mqtt devices and Homey energy dongle.

I removed the Ethernet adapter from the Homey and connect it via Wi-Fi instead—this is because the changelog mentions changes related to the Ethernet adapter—but that didn’t help.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Br Mike

Does your Homey Ethernet adapter have a fixed/reserved IP-address? If not, it could have changed and the LAN devices are still trying to find Homey on its old IP.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the Homey´s Ethernet adaptor is reserved in DHCP(192.168.255.200) and has the same address it has had since it was installed many years ago.

Have done some more troubleshooting.

Disabled IPv6 on the Asus router. I seem to recall there being some issue with IPv6 and Homey a long time ago.

Homey responds to pings locally (192.168.255.200) for a while after a restart, but then stops responding.

Homey communicates and have functions via the cloud—for example, it can turn Zigbee devices on and off—so it is clearly communicating with the internet without any issues.

The local IP address shown for the Homey when checking via the cloud is also 192.168.255.200.

Have now also updated via USB according to Athom’s support. Unfortunately the result is the same.

It’s almost as if a local firewall has been implemented in the latest Homey firmware, causing it to stop responding to things like local pings; this makes it difficult for local devices to communicate via IP:-)

Best regards, Mike

Are other devices effected as well on your home network? Maybe check your router from your ISP and restart those devices as well. Could be just a coincidence but just give it a go

Thanks. Nothing else on the network is affected, and everything has been restarted a few times—but it has made no difference for the Homey.

Disable IPV6?
Hope you not using any Thread on you homey network

Thanks, I do, and I’m aware of what doesn’t work in that case. I did it for troubleshooting purposes

Can’t relate.
I took the plunge and updated Pro 2026 (ethernet connected) to v13.5.2
(Didn’t reboot it myself, nor pulled the plug for a while).

All my devices, including TCP network devices, work fine.
(I use quite a lot: H.A., ESPHome, MQTT, SMA/Solis/Growatt, Intergas, various cams, Homewizard P1, Slimmelezer, SmartGateways watermeter and such)
