I used the Gateway SN.
Tried again now, same issue. It seems we cannot have both official Enphase and your Enphase Controller app on Homey. As soon as I uninstall Enpase Controller, official Enphase app starts working again.
As test I uninstalled the official Enhpase app and installed the beta Controller app.
Homey verified the installation but there is no connection?
That’s the same message that I got when I used my user account. After deleting the device and setting up a new device trough the Enpahse Controller app using my installer account it was working good.
Ran some tests today and it’s working like a charm. After turning it off in Homey, the envoy almost instantly stop producing. Turning back on took 30-60 seconds. Very happy with it

This should fix most issues reported so far.
Home-owner accounts are now fully supported (read only access of course). Whether you have control access or not is now display on the status page:
This is now also supported. You can re-enter your credentials and switch between home-owner and installer/DIY accounts on the fly. The device will add/remove to power-toggle dynamically (including associated flow cards).

Yep, more explanations have been added to the app store description as well as the login page.
I’ve added some logic that will make it play better with other enphase apps present. I’m still limited by what enphase/envoy allows though. It might work, or work better now.
If it still gives 401’s.. uninstall ALL enphase apps, and retry with just the Controller app after one hour or something.
Try again. It should work more reliably now. FYI The DIY/Self-Installer account should provide the same functionality as the Installer-account. I’ve added more detections for this, but please verify as I dont have a self-installer account.
You must have a Metered envoy then. For users with a Standard or Unmetered (Metered without installed CT clamps), the on/off cycly will take about 30 minutes. I’ve added this to the app description and also put a “Metered” status indicator to the device for this reason.
And we also now have better support for (local) IPv6 networks

I have a Envoy Metered but without CT clamps. The power production stop and start was almost instant.
Just tried again. The start up is almost instant, but not on full power. It takes 30 minutes to get to full power.

Can you give me more details? Why doesn’t it install? Where in the process does it break? Any errormessages? Any screenshots/details would help me find the problem.

As a test, I’ve tried to install the test app on both 2019s as well.
Both run v13.2.1 fw
App store: the usual message, no errors
Homey: blue LED ring rotates as usual, as if app is being installed >
Checking app listing: no app called “Enphase Controller” is present
There’s nothing to check, like logs, diagnostic report can’t be sent from not installed apps.
Only a system diag can be sent to Athom…
The only way to view logs is to install it per CLI, but then I’ll need the source code for it.
(It does install fine @ Pro 2026)

I also have no crashlogs or anything logged in my homey developer tools.
Honestly not sure where to start with this. I even made the codebase compatible all the way down to Homey v10.0.0.

Just installed the app and used my self installer account. It says it is read-only, although I have owner rights and can switch of production via enlighten manager.

No errors or something like that. It just doesn’t appear in the app list. Never seen something like this.
If I install another app, the pop-up is different. This one did appear in the app list.
I have a regular account and my installer has an installer account for my site. What are the consequences when I create an installer account for my site? Can there be two installer accounts to my site? Will the original installer still have access to my site? Can there be waranty issues?
Yeah, all this is a bit confusing – especially because the terms being used are a bit conflicting.
First, there’s a bit more clarification here (Dutch, but should translate fine).
But, most importantly to know is that multiple companies can be registered to your system. So you can add yourself without causing any issues with the existing/actual installer. (Only one can be the active ‘maintainer’ though. This will become clear in a second.)
Register as a (fake) company with Enphase here. Make sure you pick the first option (company!). Pick a funny name for your fake company, use a fake VAT number, and use a different email than the one you used for your (normal) owner account.
Once done with that, login to Enlighten as the owner.
Go to Menu → Account → My access control.
Find:
After granting access, right below that you’ll find a “PV system maintainer” pull down. Select your fake company there.
Now you’ll see something like this on the page:
(Notice the delete buttons. With a few clicks you can revert the whole situation if needed. If you’re ever contacting your original installer (for help/warranty), I’d advise to remove yourself as maintainer here first and make sure the original installer is the maintainer again. That way they have remote access to your system once again.)
The login for your fake company is the login you use in the Enphase Controller app.

Note that an invite link only isn’t enough for the Homey CLI, you can only perform homey app run on your local network, so @Peter_Kawa would need to set up something like a VPN or Tailscale as well to grant you access to the LAN.
I was working through this with another user. If the app isn’t giving you control-access it just means Enphase is classifying the account used as being an owner-account. There’s nothing I can do on my end.
It looks like accounts (mail addresses) can be used, and re-used for different purposes.
E.g. an owner and installer account can (apparently) be on the same mail address. In that case you can switch between the two views in the browser. (What I read… haven’t been able to see this personally.)
Either way there are 2 options: get Enphase to unclutter the account status, or simply register an new company with Enphase with a clean/unused mailaddress and add that one as maintainer in your home-owner account. Then use that new account to log into Enphase Controller.
That is correct afaik. A self installer only has read-only rights on a system unless it is marked as the system owner. Only then it can controll the whole site. With my self-installer owner account, I can make the API calls to disable/enable the power production however, so the local endpoint is available. Is there any chance to check for controll access besides the current flow, in such a way that the homey flow pieces to controll the site still can be used? Or maybe a manual overwrite to make them available?
