Hello guys and happy Easter,
I have a doubt. More of a concern when connecting devices through other devices main app. I am having issues with that particular app getting in the way and taking control. You know when an app says “Configure somewhere else”. Well most of the time I say yes to this, I don’t get to even connect the particular device to Homey. That is particularly true with Hue. Which is the correct way? For example, I have learned through experience that the dreaded Hue Sync Box settings must be left alone if you are to have total control over it with Homey. Otherwise it is a persistant pain in the butt and you virtually have to kill it to control your apps. What I am asking is. Where do you draw the line between the default app and Homey? I understand it to be as soon as possible, but exactly when is that? How do you know that your device has enough “configuration” for Homey to properly control it without hindering its default capabilities?
