Hi, I have been trying to pair a BTicino K4003C to Homey as generic ZigBee device.
I start the pairing process through homey devices > “+” > ZigBee > Continue
By pressing its reset button the device enters pairing mode (green led flashing). Consequently in the Homey app it recognizes a new device and says for a few seconds “Device is being added…”
But then it ends with “Unable to connect”
I have tried many times but nothing.
Not sure if it helps, but this person managed to connect it to Home Assistant, by enabling the mode “permit join”:
I have a Homey Pro Mini from 2026, but I could test also with a Homey Pro 2023.
Installing a second gateway is not an option for me…
Do you have any idea what I could try? I don’t know how to progress with this
Thanks
Try turning the switch on/off physically (on the device itself) while pairing, maybe that keeps the device active. Usually, switches are routers in the Zigbee network so it shouldn’t be an issue but you can try it anyway
So I have the following router devices:
3x SONOFF ZBMINIR2
1x _TZE204_qvxrkeif (Nous F09 gas detector)
1x IKEA TRADFRI Driver 30W
Everything is quite close nearby cause the apartment is just 30sqm: the F09 is about 3m away, one Sonoff ZBMinir2 is 2m away and the Homey is about 3 - 4 m away.
There is max. one internal wall in between the K4003C and the routers.
In the developer tools, I see an “Unknown node” with the highest TX error rate (22%), which was connected through the Nous F09.
I also tried removing the F09 but I get the same error.
I tried with another K4003C on a power cord for test, and this is also shown as “unknown node” in the zigbee devices list in dev tools, and I get the same error.
About the WiFi interference, Homey uses channel 15, but my router does not have any channel settings.
Thanks
Here it reports some users on Zigbee2MQTT experienced the device leaving the network and suggest turning the switch ON/OFF during the pairing. Ref: BTicino K4003C/L4003C/N4003C/NT4003C control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT
But that for me doesn’t work. I tried on two different K4003C devices
