This actually sounds interesting since I was attempting to build an app a while back that would allow offline control via Bluetooth (and the built-in API that the apps can use) for fully local control without WiFi needed. It used an Android app that advertises and then Homey scans for that device while it’s offline. I never got the Android part to work, so I abandoned it. But it does seem like Homey is introducing something similar where Homey itself can advertise (and possibly accept connections) via Bluetooth.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to use this for my app since I only have Pro2019 which is not supported (homey3d has not been added to the file)
