New to Homey and cant connect any Aqara devices

Hi all.

New to Homey. Been looking for a while for a simple way to integrate all the different ecosystems and finally decided to give Homey a shot. From what I have seen so far its been brilliant. I have imported the rest of my smart home including the few Philips hue items that I have (and I am very much looking forward to getting rid of the hub), Gove, Eufy, Google, MelCloud, Solis inverter for my solar panels and a few others. these were all relatively simple. However Aqara that I have a lot of lights, Light switches and sensors I cant seem to get a single one to show in Homey. I am guessing I am missing something. I have had a scoure through the forums and cant see anything recent and relevent.

So to explain.

  1. I have added the Aqara app to my home run form a Homey mini pro
  2. I add a new device
  3. Select Aqara
  4. Choose the device. I have tried about 5 different ones that I have and as far as I am aware I am connecting the right device
  5. Go though the Zigbee notification
  6. Get to the pairing page

  7. At this point I put the sensor into pairing mode with the lights flashing but it never pairs and evenly times out having never moved past this notification.
    1. I have had trhe sensor sat right next to the Homey and still nothing.
    2. As I said I have light sitches both wired and battery and non of those seem to want to pair either.

Any help and advice someone could give or pointing me to the right place that has an answer would be greatly received.

You aren’t doing anything wrong.

Which Homey? Early 2023? It should connect easily to Aqara devices. Try to restart Homey. Earlier models have issues with Aqara, but concerning losing connection.. not connecting.

Advise: do not get rid off your Hue hub. It is performing much better with the hub, especially the new hue hub pro.

Its the Homey Pro Mini. I will reboot it in the morning and try adding them again and see how it goes.

Thanks for the pointer and for the advice not to get ring of the Hue hub :slight_smile:

Hey. Rebooted it and I can get devices to connect!!! Thanks so much. I was a bit confused with the first wireless switch i connected just showing battery statuses for it but worked though that and got it working. :+1:
