I have a simply question, but it seems i can not find the awnser. Maybe one of you can help me out with this.
I bought a second Aqara FP300 as a motion sensor for in our hallway (zigbee connected). I am simply using it to trigger the lights when we come home or go to the bathroom. Simple and no problem with that.
But i trigger the lights when there is motion or the room becomes active. So far so good. But as i found out, the motion trigger seems to reset only after like 1 minute / 60 seconds and change to no motion detected.
And i can not seem to find a way to speed up the motion sensor to check again after like 30 seconds and reset. Am i missing something?
Or do i need to switch them out for another sensor that has this feature?
This is the case for a number of motion sensors, purely to safe battery life.
In many cases there’s no person walking by within a minute, and if they are, I usually let the light on for a bit longer than a minute > issue solved
With a flow like this, it won’t turn off until there’s no motion for x seconds. Plus it won’t turn on when there’s enough daylight (but that’s optional):

Yes i understand your flow, that is clear. I have something like it, but a bit different.
But the problem is that it only becomes inactive after 60 seconds.
Guess there is no way to change this timer sadly. Would be great if they would add this option. I dont mind the battery drain as they are cheap.
Guess i am going back to the Hue Motion sensor for this application, as they reset after 30 seconds.

It is possible to change this. Right click the device–> settings —> advanced settings. Look for “Reset presence alarm after”. I think it is set by default to 10 secs though. These devices tend to use more than the specified timeout before ‘clearing’ a room. To me it seems to be correlated with the distance to Homey, likely zigbee communication issues. I suspect that the motion alarm may be cleared faster than presence. If you use “zone is inactive” the presence alarm is likely involved in the equation. You may want to try with ‘the motion alarm is off’ or something like that as it may react faster (but may also be more likely to give false negatives).

Yes i tried this already. But the motion sensor always takes 60 seconds to clear. Even when you set the presence reset to 10 seconds (it only resets after 10 seconds if they think there is no motion as far as i can make out).
No matter what setting i use. PIR ONLY, Presence only or Combination
Ah, PIR may have their own way of acting and I have not seen any settings for that. Anyway I think I have never tested anything better than the Hue sensors for what you try to achive here. The power of FP300 lies in the mmwave presence sensor.
