mmWave devices compatible Homey pro

Thx for this. I was waiting for the Aqara FP300, but I’ll try this instead. It looks really promising, and it’s actually half the price, even only 1/3 the price now as preorder.

The Lafaer is really good up until now. I received mine yesterday. As I wrote in another topic, the connecting part was not as easy as it should. stay close to the Homey Pro and try several times. Eventually it will connect. And it is “sensing presence” very good.

Bit of a downside though is that you just get to see a motion sensor in Homey Pro, which just shows motion is there. In my case it was saying 1 hour ago motion was detected during the whole time I was there, until I left the room and then came back in, it told me motion was detected. When I setup a flow, sending a push notification to my phone, it notified me every time it detects motion while I was in the room. So that tells me it detected presence.

I’m another owner of this product, I can’t understand why didn’t work. Is linked with homey pro and signal is excellent-44 RSSI. At the moment (if works) is a normal movement sensor… I attach the screen..

I received my two Lafaer LWR01 devices today, about a month and a half early, because in fact, I ordered them when batch two was already sold out. So, thank you, Lafaer, for that :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

And I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked them and hooked them up to my Homey Pro. I had no problems whatsoever; they just worked out of the box. No tweaking was necessary.

I just use these two to switch the light on and off in the toilet and in the hallway when I go to the toilet. Both rooms have no power outlet, so I was kinda forced to use battery-powered devices, and Lafaer fulfilled my needs.

And even though Matteo here above says it works as a motion detector, I can confirm it really is a presence sensor. The lights stay on, even when I put myself in the corner of the room, not moving at all, and where the sensor can barely see me.

The only thingie I don’t like is the time it takes to switch off the light when there’s nobody in the room anymore. The lowest you can set this time is 20 seconds. I asked support to add 5 and 10 seconds to the list of options. See what happens…

But all in all, I’m one happy camper

I just received word from the Lafaer support. The value of 20 seconds of Unoccupied Delay is the lower limit it can handle. Pity, but I can live with that.

At least it’s a whole lot better than the 2 minutes, when I set it up with the Philips Hue Motion Sensors, with the risk that you have to wave your arms when the lights go out unwantedly

As of Version 1.4.0 (experimental) — the Apollo RPRO-1 is now supported.

The Apollo RPRO-1 has been working well and is fast. There are likely 200 flow cards so sorting out how to apply them takes sm thought. This tracks 3 targets. Has an TGB light, Option for measuring CO2.

Justin,

I just received a RPro-1 and the device added into Homey Pro just fine, but I can the only flow cards available are CO2, Humidity, Luminance, and UV. I did buy it with the LD2412 that I thought should compliment the LD2450 that is already installed. Unfortunately, none of the presence sensing seems to be available via the Homey app. Is this expected or have I done something wrong? Do I need to add it to HA first?
Thanks.

Oops! I just updated my apollo app version to 1.4.1 (Experimental) and a whole bunch more functions showed up. It looks like the presence stuff is there. There is so much, it is going to take a bit to digest!!!

Anyone tried this new device from Switchbot?

Happy to hear! Yes, it has a lot of configuration, especially with the dual mmWave version. Keep us updated, and thanks again for your support!

Justin

Thanks for sharing!
I just found out we can get them in the Netherlands as well!
Just ordered the MSR-2 and R PRO-1 to start with

You need a Switchbot hub to be able to use it via Matter.

Classic switchbot tactics.

No, thank you.

@appollo_automation i just bought 2 R-PRO-1’s and i can only see the CO², humidity, Luminance and UV index, so i don’t have the presence sensors available in homey.

I updated the firmware and the issue is the same for the ethernet as for the wi-fi firmware.

I can see the presence perfectly when i connect it directly to Home Assistant.

Thanks for your support! There was an update that might have affected ESPHome devices. We will look into it more.

@Doekse any updates on this? Have you heard from Lex?

I’ve been using the Lafaer LWR01 presence sensor over the past week in my bathroom and it just constantly drops off my Thread network, really would not recommend.

I have 6x Tado X radiator valves and a couple of Eve Motion, so a total of 8 end devices, which I have no issues with.

I have about 16 Aqara T2 GU10s (including four in the same room) and 4x Onvis plugs to strengthen the mesh across my house, but this doesn’t seem to help one bit with the Lafaer.

Looks like I’ll need to try the FP300 next.
