Measurement of power consumption for SBS refrigerator

I’ve had a side-by-side refrigerator for some time. According to the manufacturer, the average monthly electricity consumption should be around 32 kWh. However, my analysis shows my refrigerator is using about 72 kWh per month. This makes me wonder if there’s something wrong with the fridge, or if the consumption stated by the manufacturer is some sort of laboratory measurement. Does anyone here perhaps have a power consumption chart for their own side-by-side refrigerator? Mine looks like this.

Consumption data, e.g. for kitchen appliances, are determined under standardized laboratory conditions, as it would otherwise not be possible to compare different models and manufacturers with each other.
The real consumption can be significantly higher than the energy label indicates.
However, I am unable to say if 32 to 72 kWh is within the acceptable range.

It’s not the range from 32 to 72. For me, it’s an average of 72 kWh per month

Maybe your smart plug is also measuring incorrect data.

The measurement is correct. Checked with a professional meter. That’s why I’m curious what such wear and tear looks like among other users of this type of refrigerators.

If you mean such peaks,…

…I guess this is quite normal.

Every time you open the fridge and take something out or put something unrefrigerated in, the temperature inside rises and the fridge tries to lower the temperature again accordingly. To do this, the refrigerator requires more power than when the temperature is to be kept constant.

Yes, I know this and it is obvious to me. It’s about comparison. If your chart concerns a refrigerator, you certainly have a chart of kWh consumed and you can check how much you used per month so you will know how much per year. And now what I mean is, for example, in your case, the consumption declared by the refrigerator manufacturer coincides with what you read from the annual electricity consumption?

No, the annual consumption determined by the manufacturer under laboratory conditions doen’t correspond to real consumption of our fridge-freezer (277 + 107 ltr.). However, the percentage difference is much smaller than in your case.
Real consumption in the last 12 month: ca. 233 kWh
Annual consumption according to the manufacturer: 172 kWh

That’s exactly what I meant. So, in your case, it’s 30% more when looking at the capacity of a classic fridge. For me, the difference is almost 120%. That’s why I was looking for people who have a side-by-side refrigerator, to compare the consumption more or less

If I were you, I would contact the manufacturer.
What are the chances that someone with an SBS refrigerator will respond to your post in a Homey Community Forum?

Actually, I was hoping to find more people on a forum like this who use smart plugs with power monitoring for various devices at home, but I see there’s no response.
