LG WebOS app not working anymore

Hi,
yesterday LG WebOS app (the original one) was updated to version 4.2.1. Ever since, the flowtrigger “Applicatie werd opgestart” (App was started) generates an error “401 insufficient permissions”. Deleting the device and re-adding it doesn’t resolve the problem.
I have a Homey Pro 2019 11.0.0.

Does anybody recognise this and (maybe) have a solution already?

Have you tried simply to reinstall the app without removing any device ?

This version should fix it

In my case, I was already on 4.2.1 but simply it was not installed. So I had simply to reinstall it without touching anything else…

@Sharkys Can you please explain how to install an app which is already on my homey?

If you are simply not on the latest version, just press install on the app store again and it should update. Otherwise I would suggest just removing the app from your homey and then install it again.

Btw anybody else having issues that the app probably about 50% of the time does not detect the powerstate of the TV correctly if turned on/off by the remote (in my case a G2)?

Tried that + uninstall app, restart homey, install app and adding device again didn’t work for me :thinking:

In such case generate diag.ID in the app and contact Athom support :frowning:

Yep, i was informed by Athom after submitting the support request. Tested it and it fixed the issue

Yep, I also told them but first they stated it’s not related to the update :-))

I’ve tried version 4.2.2 and turning on my G3 (latest WebOs 24) works but all other commands fail and tell me device is not turned on ;-(. So now i wonder if Athom even tests their own apps with LG devices although LG is owner of Athom since a couple of months.

There’s only one way to find out: write to Support | Homey

:grinning:Spot on, You would assume that the one app working is the LG. Having the same issue, contacted support. Let´s see what the have to say.

Yes, I think this is really embarrassing! The TV active/inactive recognition isn’t working for me on Homey Pro! While it is working perfectly fine on HomeAssistant! I mean, Athom, come on!!

It does work for me without any change for last year :thinking:

For me it works probably 50% of the time. It will sometimes just stop for a few days and then suddenly decide to work again.
