just bought homey 700 australian dollars because of short commings to home assistant. But homey has same problems. i feel let down by home control industries not fixing true integration but still advertising total control and integration. i view this as consumer theft but i guess there is a market for it. 6 years in the home control used many platforms. they just supply basic control. Im an industrial electrician and the same was for suppliers in industrial control. i am so fustrated !!
“same problems” is not a very good description of what actual issues you have.
Can’t use complicated sensors across platforms. Homey is supposed to be cross platforms. All complicated sensors in tuya can’t be used. Might as well read individual API apps my self. Simple on off and threshold flows . Just provide some communication protocol that is what a cross platform hub should do. All sensors.
Carrying my phone with all platforms on it is a better hub than homey. 700 dollars for 10dollars of electronics . I thought I was paying for integration across complete platforms. That’s what I mean.

i loaded all tuya devices over to hub. 20 percent do nothing. ie ir transmitters, cat feeder, smart fans, just multi control devices.
Even tuya local cant do them, same as home assistant. I want to turn ac on at temperature from say ecowitt temp and humidity sensor cant, why are you calling this just a rant.
6years of using home control systems. all i want is all features in smartlife app to use through homey platform to control all features in devices on other platforms . a hub.

i have a developer account. now you putting on me to change tuya so your hub can work with smartlife app. isnt that your responsibilty. the guy who doing local tuya has taken years to get his running. the reason i bought homey is it says works with tuya.
yes i ve been using github for years. playing with zigbee and wifi mqtt. waiting for thread. now esp and tasmoto . i just want to use all devices ive bought through a hub. so i dont have to keep changing my code. im 62 working full time . i want simple integration which is paid for in purchase of hub.
while using home assistant i used 8 digital relays to send bytes to smartlife app. this controlled complex devices. back and forth register. but is a lot off automation writing. ie joined 2 4pole relays in smartlife. could run them via home assistant. (simple switching) . binary communication easy.
You need to create a Tap-to-Run scene for each button on the remote in the Tuya mobile app. Then, you can use the Start Tap-to-Run Flowcard in Homey to trigger them
That is not needed for Tuya. You can just log in with the QR code (as far as I know, Home Assistant works the same way:

You mean the Tuya Zigbee gateway? I also have one, and it’s very useful because you can use it to run firmware updates and add Tuya Zigbee devices that are not natively supported by Homey.

What do you mean with “digital register”?
Well, Homey is not a end user consumer device. Because YOU are the system integrator. And that is a very frustrating job, as well in a professional environment and even more in a consumer environment. As commercials offer you anything but suplliers leave you alone when you need good documentation or support.
The developers integrate all the systems by building the apps. But in my opinion, Homey is an end user (consumer) device, since it’s also sold by the physical stores like MediaMarkt. Most consumers don’t develop the apps and just use the Homey to integrate all their devices.
You have to think about the architecture of your system, explore what sensors and actuators are already incorporated in your home (like sunscreens) and decide which type of sensors and actuators you need to complete your system (like sun sensor). And then you have to decide from which supplier to buy buy sensors and actuators (and sunscreens). So you have to study the manuals to get an idea if it is going to work with a Homey app. And when it does not work you have to trouble shoot the problem and convince a supplier to solve the problem. It is not my hobby.
