Hi,
Using Homey Pro (2023). I have two multisensors that show ambient light in LUX. These are:
In a given location my reference light-meter shows 170 Lux.
Philips Hue motion sensor shows: Light: 759 Lux Temp: 24.1 ºC
Namron multisensor shows: Light: 151 Lux Temp: 25.5 ºC
Is there a way to calibrate sensors, ie. the value represented in the Homey Pro and being used in Flows to set thresholds etc. It’s a bit complex with multiple sensors that are giving different values for the same condition.
If there is no way, would it be an idea to have a generic feature in Homey Pro to adjust these?
Thanks!
I’ve noticed this is (very) sensor dependent, and in general nowhere near real lux values (but I use cheap crap). The max lux of Sensor A = 80000, sensor B = 150 …
Some apps provide for calibration (Aqara), it’s not in general.
I decided to just use the sensor’s specific lux values, or the mean value of several combined:
You could consider creating a grouped light sensor, in order for you to work with one general mean lux value.
You can use an advanced virtual device:

Hi Peter,
Thank you for pointing out Advanced Virtual Device, which is new to me, appreciated!
It is a good idea to group multiple sensor into a single mean value. However, I have multiple zones and must keep these apart. I am just looking for a way to make them more alike so that thresholds etc can be more similar and not all over the place for each sensor - or brand of sensor.
I will learn more about AVD and also if the Better Logic Library can help so a custom virtual decive can scale the values as I want.
I may, however, consider swapping out to one type only, for example the Namron that is closest to the reference.
