According to the newsflash it looks like IKEA is restarting their whole smart home brand. All of the remotes, sensors and lightbulbs have new names. There is no mention of zigbee, only Matter.

That is correct. No new zigbee devices planned. All future smart home gadgets from Ikea will be matter over thread compatible.
Their dirigera hub (newest one) will still support Zigbee products though along with matter devices.
