Before I begin, please note that I’m Korean and the ThinQ PLAY and ThinQ ON interfaces shown to me are in Korean. I apologize that the screenshots are therefore also in Korean. This post was translated into English with the assistance of AI. After connecting my ThinQ ON to Homey, I started setting …

Being a Dutch company or at least a Netherlands based operation of LG they have to comply with the european General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)! I am pretty sure you can grill them big time if you like to. At least you have under GDPR the right to force them to exactly tell you, what data th…

Thank you. That is precisely why I have already contacted both Athom and LG and asked them to explain what personal data relating to me was shared, how it was shared, for what purpose and on what legal basis, and why I was not informed in advance. I am currently waiting for their responses. I do no…

Update: Since I did not receive a response to the inquiry I submitted through the LG ThinQ app, I contacted LG Electronics Korea by phone yesterday and raised the same issue again. I asked LG to remove my app from ThinQ PLAY until all the circumstances surrounding its distribution have been fully c…

[image] meerlol: To be clear about where we’re heading: when you publish an app, you’re building for the Homey ecosystem, not for Homey Pro alone. Homey runs in more places than it used to, and that will keep expanding. When I publish an app, I publish to the Homey app store. I have an (impli…

[image] ChrisG: I don’t want to see any of my apps on a platform other than Athom/Homey. Too late, I guess [Screenshot_20260901_120946_LG ThinQ] Add device → Other brands in the ThinQ app. You can see for yourself, download the ThinQ app from the Playstore and there you can see it in the “…

[image] dohun0310: I found your reference to the Korean language as “weird characters” quite offensive. I didn’t mean to be dismissive, but as a “regular” European, you just don’t learn the Korean writing system in school. Or can you, for example, read Egyptian hieroglyphs?
