Hue motion sensor light activation

Before buying a Homey Pro I’m trying to find out whether the following will work.

I would like my Philips Hue outside light to turn on at 30% from dusk to dawn, but if the Philips Hue motion sensor is triggered it turns the light to 100% for 5 minutes.

Is this possible please, I tried to test this using Homey Cloud but it doesn’t give me enough access to the tools needed (unless I’m missing something). I have also tried to do this on other platforms and failed :frowning:

Thanks in advance

It should work on Homey Cloud. Can you share your Flows?

Something like this maybe?

Trigger flow:
WHEN:
Philips motion sensor triggered
AND:
It’s after sunset
Logic variable timer is higher than 0
THEN:
Dim Hue outside light to 100%

Trigger flow 2:
WHEN:
Philips motion sensor motion alarm turned off
THEN:
Set logic variable timer to 0
Enable timer flow 1
Enable timer flow 2
Start timer flow 1

Sunset flow:
WHEN:
The sun sets
THEN:
Turn on Hue outside light
Dim Hue outside light to 30%

Sunrise flow
WHEN:
The sun rises
THEN:
Turn off Hue outside light

Timer flow 1:
WHEN:
This flow is started
AND:
Logic variable timer is not equal to 0
THEN:
Calculate logic variable timer as {{ timer-1 }}
Start timer flow 2 after 1 minute
ELSE:
Start dim flow

Timer flow 2:
WHEN:
This flow is started
AND:
Logic variable timer is not equal to 0
THEN:
Calculate logic variable timer as {{ timer-1 }}
Start timer flow 1 after 1 minute
ELSE:
Start dim flow

Dim flow:
WHEN:
This flow is started
AND:
It’s after sunset
THEN:
Dim light to 30%
ELSE:
Turn off outside light

Also, why don’t you use Philips Hue’s built-in motion sensor functionality? That’s much easier to set up than via Flows.

Thanks for taking the time to assist, unfortunately I have deleted the 2 flows that I created but they weren’t as detailed as the ones you suggested, they were simply: 1. turning light on at dusk 2. turning light off at dawn

I’m completely new to Homey so still trying to get my head around how flows work but you’ve enlightened me on how to proceed (doesn’t mean I’ll get very far on my own!)

Thanks again

Hi @Silverflyer yes, it’s possible on Homey Pro. It would be a very simple flow by using homey pro’s advance flow capability. Even you shouldn’t set fixed 5 minutes after a motion event triggered, just set any minute value in the flow you want to dim back to 30% after zone has been inactive for. Just buy  and here’s a great community to support you in case of any question.

This question is about Homey Cloud though.

Yea, but to me it sounds like he replies to the first question :

Plus Homey Cloud has Advanced Flow as well.
