What about the tadoZones app?
Still not possible to get the attribut TargetTemperature with both apps..
I’m not sure if it’s what you think about, but here’s my solution with TadoX and Homey:
If someone changes the target temperature on the SensorX, it will change the target temperature on my TadoX valve too.
And if the mode is changed, I’ll change the mode of the valve too.
I added all TadoX devices using iOS method and using the Tado app on Homey. And of cause the Sensor isn’t detected correctly and only a generic matter device. But it doesn’t matter, because it’s working as expected.
How did you add the sensor ? I tried using the TadoZones app but I don’t have the sensor listed. I tried add it via the thermostat but it’s recognizing it.
My goal is to a have a flow saying if the target temperature change then another non Tado device can be triggered (heat pump via mqtt).
I used the “add new device” and choose Tado app:
Than choose “Smart Thermostat X”:
Now I choose iOS-method, because I added the device to the Tado-app first (for firmware updates). After adding the device is not using the provided icon and is a generic matter thermostat. Don’t know why, because the Smart Valve works fine. But doesn’t matter, it’s functional in advanced flows.
I see. I added the device also this way using the Tado app and matter provisioning. In the flow I tried « temperature changed » I though it was the room temperature but I tested and it worked when we manually changed.
The only issue in the setup I want is that I don’t retrieve the target temperature. The device is not giving it.
I will check in advanced flow maybe.
So, if it might help someone, I juste found out that the app Tado Home Manager can handle the target temperature on the Sensor X !
I ran into an issue with 3x tado Wireless Temperature Sensor X devices in Homey.
Only one of them was detected as a thermostat and could be controlled.
The other two only appeared as temperature sensors.
After checking the labels, I noticed that my devices are not all the same revision.
The two label variants I have are:
-
DSU04-TA-01
-
DSU04-TA-04
I attached photos of both labels below.
Both devices are clearly marked as Wireless Temperature Sensor X, but Homey apparently does not detect both revisions the same way.
DSU04-TA-01 is probably the earlier revision, although I have not found official confirmation from tado.
What worked for me
I solved it by using Home Assistant instead of pairing the sensors directly to Homey through Matter:
-
Install HACS in Home Assistant
-
Install the ha-tado-x integration
-
Add the tado X devices in Home Assistant
-
Home Assistant creates proper climate entities
-
Import those climate entities into Homey using the Home Assistant Community App
Result
That way, the devices work properly as thermostats in Homey, even though direct Matter pairing in Homey did not detect them correctly.
