  1. I start the ‘cast’ command every 11 minutes, the only way (afaik) to ‘continuously’ display the dash on a Nest hub. As I’ve read, some models or firmware versions seem to frustrate it even more.

You can also check my personalized version, which has an extended howto available to run the dash locally on Homey, using the neat Micro Web server app
3. What is it what you want to achieve, or don’t understand?
4. No one knows, but you now know from point 2, you can download the dash, and run it on Homey forever (almost: until Athom cloud disappears, but then we all have bigger problems).
