Homey worthless without subscription

Is it really necessary to pay a monthly fee to use a device I have purchased?
I purchased Homey Bridge and managed to do the automations I want, even I was not impressed of the capabilities of Homey having worked with SmartThings for years.
But to my surprise/disapointment when I attempted to install the devices for the automations elsewhere in my home, it appears that no more than 5 devices are supported unless you pay for an subscription.
The Homey Bridge cost around 100 euro and I am not going to pay another 30 euros per year only to use my own Homey Bridge! This is very close to being a scam!
My Homey Bridge has gone with the trash and I consider this a great mistake.

It says so right there though:

The idea is that you first see if Homey is something for you, and if so then purchase a subscription and (if you require it) a Bridge.

What’s your problem? It’s all clear on the Website :man_shrugging:

Where did you buy a Bridge for around 100 euro?
That would be the real scam here, as it’s retail price is 69 euro at Athom and almost every other retailer.

The functionality and it’s limits are clear on the Homey website.

If a retailer or webshop told you otherwise and sold it to you for around 100 euro, you should be complaining there…

Also, to use the Homey Cloud app with only cloud enabled smart-devices, you don’t even need the bridge…
